i have been to Perch SW on the Fourth for three years running now and i will keep going. it's simply the move if you are not trying to spend your rent money watching fireworks. $10 cover. two DJs. the whole rooftop to move around in. and yeah you can see the fireworks — it's not a postcard shot but on a clear night you're watching them burst over southwest DC with the city laid out in front of you and there's something about that that just works. also when there's no fireworks going off you've got the stadium and the bridge lit up below you which honestly slaps on its own. the people who find this place are always DC locals or people who know DC locals. don't sleep on it.
