Went here for the fifa fan zone to watch USA v Turkey. While the game itself didnt matter (we already won the group 😀) it was my first time coming to the fan zone in DC that is always shown in fan highlight videos during USA games. It was a huge picnic, the energy was high, lot of USA fans supporting, theres michelob ultra bar sections (beer is $12+ dollars), and the screen is huge. My issues were that the crowd felt a little young, this location is a very family friendly one for game watching. I also think that in order to be seated and be able to see, you need to sit pretty far back otherwise you’ll be standing the whole time cause it’s a lot of people who stand and you cant see if you’re picnicking 😭. This is probably the most cookie cutter fan experience you can get in D.C. If you want to experience world cup for the first time or in the most traditional way, this is where you should start.
